Real-Time Consultants is continuously working towards reducing our impact on the environment by raising employee awareness and incorporating environmental issues into the day-to-day running of our business. These include:-
- Meeting all the regulatory requirements relevant to our business.
- Using all necessary items required for the purpose of delivering RTC’s services carefully and considering relevant issues.
- Reducing our energy consumption through increased energy efficiency – modern low emission computer screens etc.
- Creating less waste through waste reduction and recycling – ie. paper / toner cartridges.
- Managing our premises in an environmentally sensitive manner
RTC recognise their corporate and social responsibilities including the impact our operations, and those of our clients and suppliers, may have on the environment now and in the future. The clear objective of RTC is to comply with applicable environmental legislation, to minimise our environmental impact and whenever possible, to influence the decisions of our clients and suppliers that will affect their impact and wherever possible to improve environmental performance
RTC actively sets best practice within corporate sustainable principles:

RTC integrates long term economic, environmental and social aspects in its business strategies.

Choices in the supply and purchase of services and products include consideration of environmental impact. Options designed to reduce this impact are included.
- Governance
RTC implements the highest standards of corporate governance including management quality, responsibility and corporate culture.
The Board of Directors has appointed an Environmental Policy Group (EPG), made up of representatives from various departments within RTC who, as part of their jobs, have a special interest in environmental matters. In working towards the long term aim minimising our environmental impact the EPG are focusing on the following objectives for 2010:
- Increase staff awareness and encourage involvement.
- Implement a programme of environmental audits.
- Set and monitor performance improvement targets, including;
- purchase of green energy where appropriate,
- reducing CO2 emissions,
- reducing landfill waste and waste overall,
- recycling wastepaper and other materials where possible,
- reducing use of consumables
- Influencing when ever possible the attitudes of clients and suppliers.
All employees are expected to co-operate and assist in the implementation of this policy and must ensure that environmental issues are given proper consideration in day-to-day work.
RTC operates a fully documented Quality System aligned to ISO 9001 and is a member of REC (Recruitment and Employment Confederation) and both the REC Technology and REC Engineering and Technical Divisions.
